Introduced in 1997 the R1200C and the smaller 850cc version was a massive departure for BMW and their first foray in the lucrative customer cruiser market. The launch of the bike coincided with cleaver product placement as the bike featured in the 1997 Bond movie ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’, James Bond leaping the bike from one roof top to another over a helicopter !
This 1200C was sold new by Charles Hurst BMW in Belfast before coming to mainland Britain in 2014. In good running order the bike has recently been serviced in our own workshop and is in good running order, showing 16,364 miles.
Cosmetically the bike is in good general condition, the exhaust box which is prone to rust is intact and the exhaust itself is ok, there is minor pitting to some of the bright work but the fork legs are clean. The paint s good, there is a small dent in the top edge of the fuel tank, overall the bike is quite presentable.
Supplied with a new MoT, UK V5C logbook and the riders manual.
