The Ducati 916 is the most iconic motorcycle of its time, its style broke the mould of motorcycle design and is still being emulated today, 22 years later ! The combination of fabulous looks, a monstrous 900cc V twin engine and sublime handling made it a one of the most coveted rides of the period and one of the most collectable Ducati’s today.
The ultimate version of the 916, the 916 SPS was introduced in 1997 with just 404 examples produced that year. This fine one family owned example, No.385 ( European Model ) was delivered new to Denmark and used quite sparingly as the owner already owned another 916, this bike passing from father to son. Showing a genuine 8138 kms, just 5057 miles the bike is supplied with the original equipment wheels, exhaust cans and paddock stand, the Marchesini wheels and Termingoni exhaust are fitted.
In extremely good order throughout the bike received a service, cam belt change and new battery 500km ago and is in perfect working order, it is suppled with both keys and the factory service and warranty book. With a UK MoT until Dec. 2017 the bike will be supplied with UK registration papers. Genuine low milage examples are now getting hard to find, this is a great, very original, undamaged, unmolested example. SOLD.
