  • DESCRIPTION

This exquisitely built ‘Egli’ type Vincent was built privately by an engineer using the facilities of his own precision engineering company. The 998cc Rapide engine was rebuilt in its entirety and placed into a John Wyatt frame with Hinckley Triumph front forks and brakes. Many of the parts in the bike are bespoke made and to a very high quality and the attention to detail is second to none.

The engine spec is more of less standard with the exception of the use of two front cylinder heads so both the Amal concentric carbs could be mounted on the left hand side, 12 volt electrics and a Norton clutch, which is remarkably light. The engine is fitted with a decompressor and an extended kick start lever to aid starting.

The bike remains in first class condition having only covered test miles and comes with UK V5C registration document relating to the 1950 Vincent Rapide that was used as the donor bike. A fabulous and unique motorcycle that far out weights the sum of its parts.
