This left hand drive GT 40 replica was built c2001 using a kit supplied by ERA replica automobiles of Hartford CT, USA. This company was one of the first in the America to start producing GT40 replicas, the kits boasted a stainless steel chassis of monocoque design very similar to the original, an accurate hand laid fibre glass body and correctly designed suspension units that had similar geometry, the rear suspension specifically designed to mate to a 5 speed ZF transaxle gearbox as was the original Ford design.
