Introduced in 1990 the original Fatboy was nick named ‘The Grey Ghost’ as the body work and the frame were painted silver grey, and the engine cases left unpainted. Although Harley had launched their all new designed custom inspired Softail frame a year earlier with a bike of the same name it was the radical Fatboy with its instantly recognisable styling that wowed crowds and made it one of the best selling Harley-Davidsons’ of all time. Produced in this colour combination for just one year as a limited edition about 4,000 units were manufactured World wide, these bikes have become a collectors item and much sort after motorcycle.

This example was imported from the USA and registered in the UK in 1994 by only its second owner. He kept the bike until recently using sparingly and as such it is only showing 12,995 which are believed correct. Previous MoT records show the mileage as 10,442 in 2010, 10,625 in 2011 and 11,729 in 2013. Fitted with a sissy bar and passing lamps the bike also has single fire ignition and an S&S carb and a free flow exhaust system to aid performance, it also has a rev counter and a Billet alloy front brake caliper.

In excellent running order the bike is showing signs of age is a few small areas which could easily be addressed but over all this is a very presentable example. It is supplied with the factory handbook, UK V5C logbook and an MoT until April 2015.
