Built 18th June 1959, this is one of the last batch of MK1 3.4’s to have produced. The first owner a Mr Richard Zimmer was an American resident who had the car registered here in the UK using it for his summer holiday before having it transported a month later via Jaguar Cars New York to his home in Glendale California. It staying in the USA until 1989 when it was returned home and re registered as UKV 514 the number originally allocated to it before export.
The current owner acquired the car in 2002 in its remarkably well preserved state. It was converted to right hand drive and the original fitment auto gearbox replaced with a MKII manual / overdrive unit. Retaining its original engine the car is still finished in the original colour combination of black with a red interior. It has been garaged for the last 15 years and maintained well only being used sparingly. An extremely well preserved and well presented example it is in beautiful condition and in great running order. Showing just 34,200 miles it is supplied with the UK V5 logbook and a small history file that includes a dating letter from Jaguar Cars Ltd.
