Kawasaki introduced the W650 in 1999, as a homage to their W1, 2 and 3 models produced between 1967 and 1975. The retro styling was an instant winner but due to the fact that the engine also had retro engineering in it, similar in fact to early single cylinder Ducati’s, the motor had a really nice classic feel but coupled with plenty of power and a super smooth delivery.
So it seems fitting that this example has been further altered to resemble a BSA Rocket Gold Star. The attention to detail is amazing, from the headlamp bracket right down to the twin leading show front brake. The bike has been fitted with RGS type silencers and the carbs re jetted for a bit more grunt, this bike looks fantastic, sound glorious and rides great. Simply one of the best modern bikes re styled we have seen for a long time.
It comes with a good history file of invoices for parts, 2 sets of keys and the UK V5C, and don’t forget the W650 is also fitted with electric start !
