  • DESCRIPTION

The Matchless G15 featured the powerful 750cc Norton Atlas engine and Norton Roadholder forks. The ‘street scrambler’ styling of the CS model aimed directly at the American market meant examples are not often seen here in Europe coupled with the fact  that they were only produced for three years makes them a rare bike indeed.

This fine example was imported to the UK in 2011 and fully restored over a period of two of years. The complete engine rebuild included dynamically balancing the crankshaft, the fitting of electronic ignition and voltage regulator as well as new Amal concentric carbs. Many new parts were used in the assembly of this bike, the frame and body work have been repainted and the wheels were rebuilt with stainless spokes. Since completion the bike has only covered test mileage and so the engine will need running in. A matching number machine presented in first class condition this is a really fine example of what is a great alternative 60‘s British classic bike, the performance and handling alone make them a joy to ride, and with this example all the hard work has been done. The bike is supplied with an AJS & Matchless Club dating letter, V5C logbook and will be supplied with a new MoT.
