First registered 31st December 1964 this left hand drive automatic 230SL was imported recently from the USA and re registered here in the UK. Fitted with European specification front headlamps it has large file of invoices that show that the car was registered in Oregon from 1999 to about 2007 and then in Los Angeles California until it was exported to the UK. Both these owners seem to have kept the car well maintained. It has repainted at some time and finish is still good, apart from some blemishes on both doors and scratches to the soft top cover, the soft top also has a small tear in the passenger side. Generally the car is sound, but it could befit from further cosmetic restoration, mechanically the car is in good running condition, the engine appears sound and runs well without smoking. The car is supplied with a factory hard top painted white.
A good useable car that could be improved, it has an MoT until April 2015.
