This is a genuine French ( Dieppe ) built 1600 S Alpine A110 from 1971. A two owner from new car it was delivered to its first owner in Turin Italy and remained with him until 1996 when it passed to the second owner, also in Turin. The car was comprehensively restored about 5 years ago but remained in the second owners collection without much use before recently coming to the UK. Having a had full check over and new UK MoT it is in excellent running order, the genuine 1600 S motor is reported to have done only a couple of hundred miles since the rebuild and still requires running in. VB model A110 1600S Alpines built from 1970–1973 feature a tuned type R16 TS engine, 1565 cc producing 138 bhp. This car retains it’s original engine, and has its correct 5 speed gearbox. The only deviation from original specification is the fitment of group 3/4 rear wheel arches and wider ( 205 ) rear wheels.
This is truly a very fine example, in great overall condition. Supplied with UK registration papers and a dating letter from the UK Alpine club.
