This matching number Speed Twin was dispatched from the factory 8th July 1966 to Salisbury Garage, Douglas, Isle of Man.The previous owner re registered the bike in England in 2013 and carried out a very comprehensive restoration which included a repaint of the bike plus a complete engine and gearbox rebuild, it is also fitted with a twin leading shoe front brake. A detailed hand written list of the work carried out is in the history file along with a number of bills from parts suppliers, as many new parts have been used. The milage at this time was recored as 4148. It appears that the bike has had no use since this work was completed as the milage is now showing 4165.
A very well present bike it remains in first class condition, and is in great running order, having just had a full check over. It is supplied with the current V5C registration document, dating cert. and a new MoT. A perfect entry to classic motorcycling.
