This 125bhp fuel injected UK right hand drive car was first registered 1st August 1973. Of the 94,619 examples produced between 1968 and 1976 there were just 8,370 produced for the home market. This fine example was the subject of much restoration work in 2015, it was colour changed from magenta purple to the current red and the engine received a complete rebuild with a replacement block, the original matching number block is also supplied the car.
The history file that is with the car has many parts invoices and receipts that detail this work. We have a number of old MoT’s with the car that show the mileage was 84,519 in 1998, the current mileage of 88,312 shows the car has only covered some 3,793 miles since and has done fewer than 1000 miles since its total engine overhaul in 2015.
In addition the car has received a recent full service in our own work shop and is in fine running order, the engine is particularly strong with lots of power, no over heating, good oil pressure and no smoke on cold start up, the overdrive gearbox is also in good working order. The body is sound throughout, since the re-spray the paint has only developed a few very minor defects, but overall the finish of the paint is very good. Fitted with leather seats and new carpets the interior is also in excellent condition, as is the vinyl hood. A very well-presented and honest example with good history file, it comes with a new MoT.
