This Venom was recorded as leaving the works at Hall Green in Birmingham on the 10th June 1959 and was first registered to Mr P E Cobner of Portland, near Weymouth on the 19th June 1959. Recorded as having just 3 owners from new the bike was said to have been previously restored before being laid up for some time. It has recently received re commissioning including a new wiring loom, regulator, anti sumping valve and a full service, the sum total costing £915. In very good running order the bike is easy to start, not something normally associated with 500cc Velocettes ! it has a number of nice ‘Clubman’ specification parts, a Thruxton style twin leading shoe front brake, alloy rims, long range fuel tank and swept back exhaust.
Overall this is a very presentable example and a good running bike, it is supplied with the UK V5C logbook, a dating letter and a copy of the factory registration record that confirms that it is matching numbers.
