Factory records show that this Series C Black Shadow was dispatched from the Vincent works on the 28th Sept. 1951 to Millars in Mitcham Surrey, although we gather the bike was further exported to the USA without being UK registered. The works record card records the frame number as RC9048 B/E, both the UFM and the RFM show this number but the full engine number was not recorded. The engine number of F10AB/1B/6390 is also dated to 1951 but is not the original to this bike, it does have matching case numbers of 00/10. Repatriated in the 1970’s the bike was rebuilt last year by a long time member of the Vincent Owners Club (UK) including an engine rebuild.
Having only had test milage since the bike is showing only 36 miles. Care was taken during the restoration to utilise as many original components as possible, however the bike is in generally fine cosmetic condition and fine running order. Now UK registered it is supplied with a UK V5C, copies of the works record card a VOC dating certificate. SOLD.
