This 150bhp fuel injected home market TR6 was first registered 14th September 1971. Of the 94,619 examples produced between 1968 and 1976 there were just 8,370 produced for the Uk market. This fine example was the subject of much restoration work in circa 2008 which included a full body respray and colour change from yellow to the current dark blue. A large history file that is with the car has many parts invoices and receipts that detail this work. We have a number of old MoT’s with the car that show the mileage was 68,333 in 1998, the current milage of 71,100 show the car has only covered some 2,700 miles since.
Recently the car has received a full and comprehensive service in our own work shop and is in fine running order, the engine is particularly strong with lots of power, no over heating, good oil pressure and no smoke on cold start up, the overdrive gearbox is also in good working order. Generally the body is sound throughout, however naturally since the re-spray the paint has developed a few minor defects, but overall the finish of the paint is acceptable and the interior is also in good condition, as is the vinyl A well presented and honest example with good history file, it comes with a new MoT and will prove a reliable classic for the future.
