This UK delivered 900SS was first registered 1st Feb. 1980. It has covered a genuine 16,185 miles with old MoT’s that go back to 1993. It was sold by us in 2011 to a French collector who used the bike sparingly but continued to keep it well maintained, spending a approx €7,000 on a repainting the frame, checking and adjusting the geometry, new head and swing arm bearings and a top end overhaul of the engine. This bike is fitted with a rare Verlicchi aluminium box section swing arm. Verlicchi Engineering (Italy) were responsible for the design of many Ducati frames and produced many prototypes for the factory, these alloy swing arms were mainly used on race bikes to improve the handling.
Having been returned to the UK in 2018 and united with its original UK registration number the bike is in good working order and comes with a small history file including bills for the recent work, old MoT’s and the UK V5C logbook.
