Aprilia approached famous French industrial architect and designer Phillipe Starck to design a city / commuter bike the end result has became a collectable style icon although not terribly popular at the time.
Introduced in 1995 it was originally built for only two years. However, in 1999 it was put back in to production until it was finally dropped 2002.
Based on the Pegaso trail bike and fitted with Rotax 650cc water cooled motor it produced 42hp and weighed 150kg with a low seat height for easy riding around town. The bikes have plenty of grunt and a surprisingly smooth delivery for a large single capacity motor its easy to see why they have a big following today.
This example was imported to the UK and registered here in 2013. The previous owner of the last 5 years maintained the bike well and in addition it has just had a service in our workshop. Showing 15,700 kms it is supplied with two keys a small history file and will have a new MoT on delivery.
