  • DESCRIPTION

Built on 18th December 1958 to desirable ‘BN6’ two seat roadster’ specification, this left hand drive example was exported to its supplying dealer in Los Angeles, California. Originally finished in Healey Blue with blue trim, wire wheels and overdrive, the exact specification of the car today, it remained in California for 57 years until it returned to the UK earlier this year. The warm and dry California climate has meant this Big Healey has remained in excellent condition and the chassis is completely solid with no signs of rust whatsoever, we gather the car was restored by a previous owner in the USA however no evidence of this exits.

Having been re registered here in the UK the car has had extensive mechanical work undertaken in our own work shop, fully serviced less than 100 miles ago the brakes have been overhauled, new MWS 15” painted wire wheels and hubs fitted with new Michelin XAS tyres. A new set of competition rear leaf springs were fitted as well as a new stainless side exhaust, the bumpers which are in good order have been removed ( and will come with the car ) have been replaced with rear ‘bumperettes’ and a set of original Lucas spot and fog lamps fitted to the front. The general condition of the car is excellent, the body work remains in good order with no apparent marks, the interior is also very tidy, it is supplied with a vinyl hood, side screens and tonneau cover. Bills for the recent work which total approx. £4,000 come with the car as well as the UK V5C logbook and a current MoT, although the car no longer requires this. A well presented and fine example.
