This MK1 Sprite from 1958 has been the subject of much restoration and maintenance going back to 2002. There is a large history file of bills and invoices that include recent work in 2012 in which the car was fitted with a new clutch and the cylinder head rebuilt with an unleaded conversion. It featured in the Feb.’13 test drive edition of Classic Car Mart where it was described as being ‘one of the best examples you will find !’ It remains in excellent mechanical condition and very fine overall cosmetic order throughout. A BMHT certificate that comes with the car shows it as a ‘Home Market’ right hand drive car, originally cherry red with red trim the car is now black with a cherry red interior. Retaining its original 948cc A series engine and with its correct steel bonnet this is a really fine example that drives as good as it looks, showing 14893 miles we have MoT’s that go back to 1998 when the milage was showing as 7259, the car will be supplied with a new MoT, UK V5C logbook, parts books and a service / workshop manual.
