This matching number BSA Lightning was part of a prestigious and well known Italian museum collection until being imported to the UK earlier this year. A fine original example example that is in generally good condition and good working order it shows 4173 kms. It comes with a small history file that includes the original Italian logbook and certification from the Italian historic vehicle association ‘ASI’.
The A65 Lightening was only 2 hp less than the supposed more sporty Spitfire and was built from more or less the same components but without the fibreglass fuel tank. Most examples were destined for the export market.
