The previous owner purchased this genuine matching number MKIII Spitfire in 2002 from Atlantic Motorcycles following a comprehensive restoration, during that time he continued to keep the bike very well maintained but only covered 356 miles ! As such the bike remains in extremely good condition. The fuel tank although fibre glass has been sealed and as such is resistant to ethanol, it has no leaks or blisters, the rest of the body is also in very good order. Sitting on Borrani alloy rims it has the correct brakes front and rear and was fitted with new Amal 900 series carbs in 2005.
In first class condition the bike runs as good as it looks, MoT’d until September 2014 it is suppled with 10 previous MoT’s and various service and maintenance receipts as well as a Haynes workshop manual and spares catalogues. The bike is also supplied with a brand new ‘bikini’ fairing and screen painted black but not fitted to the bike. An extremely well presented example these bikes are one of the best ridding and most comfortable classics of the 1960’s with performance to match.
