This 500cc A7 has good history file that shows much maintenance over the that includes partial restoration in 1977 and 1992. The V5C logbook shows three owners in total the last since 2016 was a motorcycle mechanic and restorer who had maintaining the bike for many years before purchasing it himself.
In good running order the bike has been in regular use, generally the condition is good but it could do with a little tidying up. Supplied with nineteen old MoT’s it is currently showing 37941 miles.
Introduced in 1954 the Shooting Star became the ultimate development of BSA’s 500cc twin, the engine had a hotter cam and higher compression giving it almost 100mph. This example is amongst the last built as production ceased in 1962.
