Dispatched from the factory 13th Feb 1969 to Canada this matching number 650cc Firebird Scrambler was returned to the UK in and re registered in 2016. Being part of one of Britain’s largest private BSA collections the bike underwent a comprehensive restoration that has included a full engine rebuild.
A build sheet of this restoration work is included in the history file that also has a BSA dating cert, old MoT’s, UK V5C logbook and registration paperwork. The Firebird model was introduced in 1968 and ran till ’71 with most of the production destined for the USA. ‘Street’ scramblers were the first dual sport bikes capable of road and off-road use, the American market couldn’t get enough of them although today they seem to be eclipsing the UK’s period thirst for cafe racers as ‘cool’ bike to have.
This is ready to use immaculate example that has many hours and great cost in restoration work.
