This 350cc Gold Star race bikes consists of a frame from a 1956 model-year DB34 scrambler sent to BSA’s West Coast USA distributor on 28th November 1955, and an engine, no. DB32GS156 of the same year that went to a UK dealer on 11th May.
The bike had been stored for a while as part of a BSA collection of mostly competition bikes, although the history of its race life is not known it remains in generally good order.
Recently run the engine appears to be in good working order with no smoke or noise that starts easily, it is fitted with GP carb that even ticks over ! Other features include a Taylor-Dow-type top yoke, TLS front brake and RRT2 gearbox. The bike also has a very nice period type Lyta alloy fuel tank.
Perfect for classic racing or parade laps or even as a basis for a cafe racer it could be road registered with a dating letter from the BSA owners Club.
