One of the rarest of the BSA competition bikes the Spitfire Scrambler was also known as the Rocket Gold Star Scrambler. This was an off-road competition version of the long-running pre-unit construction 650 and used many Gold Star parts. An export-only machine, it had a heavily American influence, built at the insistence of BSA western USA distributor Hap Alzina, who wanted something to go up against other British competition bikes in scrambles and California desert races.

This replica Spitfire Scrambler was imported from the USA in 2021 and has now been UK registered with a 1960 age related number and UK V5C logbook.

The previous history is not known but on inspection we have found it to be in good working order and generally in very fine condition. Built up using parts that are similar to an original this is fun and quite quick bike to use for classic scrambles, beach races or green lane ridding as it can be used on UK roads under the current ‘daylight’ rules.
