The BSA Thunderbolt was yet another variation of the tried and tested A65 650cc unit construction engine first introduced in 1962. With names like Spitfire, Hornet, Lightning, and Firebird the bikes conjured up the imagination of the buying public specifically in the USA where there was a bit export drive.
This Uk model was first registered 24th June 1968 and has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration by Kent based BSA specialist Sports Classics Motorcycles, with a full engine rebuild by the late David Jenner.
A matching number example it has only covered test mileage since the restoration and will need running in. In immaculate condition this is a truly fine example and a great entry level bike into classic motorcycling.
