Approximately 520 XR750’s were built between 1970 and 1980 with 1972 being the first year the all aluminium engine and arguably the most collectable. This immaculate example was restored to show condition in the USA by XR guru John Steel of Hi Speed motorcycles, Chagrin Falls Ohio.

This bike was actually part of his own collection before being sold to a collector here in the UK and remains in mint condition.

The bike is supplied with an originality and condition report from Hi Speed that also confirms that this XR was raced by Jimmy Maness (No 71) who was a H-D factory flat track rider for over ten years with a staggering 760 victories to his name, he retired from motorcycles in 1979 to move on to stock cars ! ( see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVon9qgm5Wg )

Bike’s of this pedigree are rarely seen in the UK this is a unique opportunity to acquire not only one of the finest condition XR’s but a bike with factory race history, a true collectors bike.
