  • DESCRIPTION

This 3.4S manual overdrive MKII was delivered by Henleys of 385 Euston Road London on the 12th January 1961 to a Mr F Inglin of Purley Surrey. Records don’t show how long he kept the car but it changed hands in 1979 at which time it was showing 63,625 miles. Since then it has had just two owners, other old MoT’s that go forward from that time show the current milage of 71,204 is correct and genuine. The car appears to have been repainted at some time in its original grey colour but retains most of its original interior, less the drivers door cards and a new head lining. Fitted with power steering it has the addition of a ‘Coombs’ type louvered bonnet, wire wheels and the engine is fitted with a Jaguar MkX cylinder head that has been ported. The original cylinder head is also available and matches the engine block numbers, so anyone wishing to return the car to it’s matching number status can do so, a JDHT heritage cert. is supplied.

Mechanically the car is superb, the power steering works really well, the gearbox is good and the engine has good oil pressure, no smoke and drives the car at quite a pace, making it a really great drivers car. The overall condition of the body is good with no obvious  faults, the interior is showing signs of age. This is truly delightful MKII, it has a fabulous overall look, and drives and sounds great. It is supplied with the original drivers handbook and warranty card, old MoT’s, history file, UK V5C logbook and current MoT. A very stylish and fast old Jag.
