This genuine 3.8 manual / overdrive MKII was built 30th May 1961 and was dispatched to Henley’s London, and registered as 606 LWL 9th June ’61. It underwent a comprehensive restoration in 1982 when the mileage was showing approximately 40,000. A photographic record of this work along with many invoices and bills are with the car, this work included an engine and gearbox rebuild and the body stripped and repainted in the original colour of opalescent dark blue. The car was also re trimmed with the correct light blue Suffolk & Turley hide. It is also fitted with power steering, Harvey Bailey anti roll bars and up graded front brakes.
Now showing 56,834 miles the car received a new clutch, new head gasket, Kenlowe fan fitted, new starter motor and a major service just last year, it also had new inertia seat belts fitted front and rear. All this work is also recorded on file. Supplied with an MoT until April 2017 the car remains in excellent mechanical condition and runs very well with plenty of power having been fitted with a MK 10 straight port cylinder head. The interior also remains in great condition with recently fitted new carpets. Sitting on body colour wire wheels with Coombs style rear wheel arches and a vented bonnet the paint is in good order with only a few minor marks. A very sound example with an excellent service record and much recent work the car is ready to be used.
