The original Laverda SF 750 was introduced in 1970, SF standing for ‘Super Freno’ or Super Brake, a new twin leading shoe front brake designed by company’s founder Francesco Laverda. The powerful 750cc engine had five main bearings and soon found competition success at the Bol D’Or, Le Mans and Barcelona while the street bikes had vastly improved electrics over the British bikes of the same era and a starter motor that actually worked !
This beautifully restored matching number SF1 was part of a large motorcycle collection, currently showing some 8,000 miles we believe it has only covered about 300 miles since the work was completed. It has just gone through our workshop for a full check over and has had a new battery fitted. It remains in first class cometic condition and is in great running order, it is supplied with the UK V5C logbook and a copy of Tim Parkers Laverda Twin and Triple repair and tune up manual.
