The original Laverda SF 750 was introduced in 1970, SF standing for ‘Super Freno’ or Super Brake, a new twin leading shoe front brake designed by company’s founder Francesco Laverda. The powerful 750cc engine had five main bearings and soon found competition success at the Bol D’Or, Le Mans and Barcelona while the street bikes had vastly improved electrics over the British bikes of the same era and a starter motor that actually worked.

This SF1 from 1973 was imported from Holland in 2016 and is in generally good order. It is showing 48,917 kms and has an MoT until July 2018. A good riding bike it starts easily and the engine has loads of power and does not smoke. Overall this is great middle weight classic that out performs and handles better than a 750 Bonneville.
