Lotus records show that this Elan +2 left the works in its original colour of white and was sold by Lotus main agent Victor Raysbrook Motors on the 9th December 1970. The current owner of the car purchased it in 2013 following restoration work that was completed between 2011 / 2012. A new Lotus galvanized chassis had been fitted and the body had been completely stripped and repainted, as well as the original engine being re built. A photo record of this work is with the car as well as many bills for the work done.
Showing 87,900 miles the car had another top end / cylinder head rebuild that was completed in 2015 and only about 250 miles has been covered since.
In generally very nice overall condition, and in mechanically in very good order the car has been garaged and only used in the summer months, the paintwork remains good with only a few minor stone chips and no visible stress marks in the body. The black interior is also in generally very good condition. Supplied with an MoT until August 2017 and the current UK V5C this is a very presentable example that has undergone much work and remains a well maintained and usable example. SOLD.
