Road registered 14th August 1972 this B GT has been built up as a V8 race car that has a fresh totally rebuilt 3.9 litre Rover / Buick engine and rebuilt rear axle and 5 speed Rover SD1 gearbox. Since the rebuild the car has only covered shake down milage and is ready to go with a dyno read out showing 274.4 bhp.
Featuring a Edelbrock carb, JWL dual port inlet manifold, race exhaust system, dual electric fans and high flow radiator and Magnacore coil. As you would expect both the suspension and brakes have been up rated – adjustable GAZ shocks, poly bushes and a LSD – 4 piston alloy callipers and vented discs with twin master cylinders with front /rear brake bias.
A true wolf in sheep’s clothing the car is supplied with bills for all the recent work totalling over £15,000 and was recently fitted with new tyres. This is a very potent ready to race car that can be used for a host of MG car club and invitation races or just track days, it is very well prepared and presented and has the benefit of being road legal.
