Registered 23rd February 1933 this MG J2 ‘Midget’ is one of just 2,083 examples produced between 1932 and ’34. Unfortunately the early history is not known however it resided on the Kent coast from 1959 until 1967 according to an original RF60 buff log book that accompanies the car. Purchased by the last owner in 1983 from the pre War MG Parts Centre in Chislehurst Kent the car has remained with the same family since then, some 36 years.
Finished in BRG with a green leather interior it remains in good overall order as it has seen little use in recent years. Since coming to our workshop it’s received a recent check over and a new 6v battery and is in good running condition. The integrity of the body is sound and presents well however the J2 is not supplied with a hood / hood frame or side screens.
The car is supplied with a small history file with an original MG instruction manual, sales receipt and current UKV5C. Considered by many as the pinnacle of pre-war MG Midgets this is a nice example of a sound J2.
