First registered 4th April 1987 this genuine Supersport Cabriolet is one of just a handful of examples supplied to the UK. Porsche records of the official Supersport production is a little sketchy, but according to an article printed in the UK clubs’ magazine the ‘Porsche Post in 2010, only eighteen right-hand drive Supersport Cabriolets were made between 1987 and 1989.
Finished in the very striking colour of ‘Cassis’ red metallic with a burgundy interior and hood this is probably the only example finished in this combination, although the original soft top was replaced in 2004 with a new black coloured one. A very well maintained example it shows a genuine 78,426 miles with a fully documented service book up to 2004 when the milage was 70,486. Since then there is a gap in the history while the car was laid up however it received a documented £3,988 mechanical refurb in 2014 and a further service in May of this year.
The overall condition of the car is very nice, the body shows no corrosion, the paint is still very fine with no blemishes or blisters, dents or scratches in the paint, the interior is also in very good order and mechanically the car runs great, the electric hood is working but does need a little help when closing.
This is a fine example with an excellent service history and genuine low milage that is supplied with the original service record, handbooks and the original space saver spare wheel, compressor and tools along with additional service and parts receipts and an MoT until May 2017.
