Launched in 2001 the Clio V6 was developed by TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing), with the Phase I being built in their production facility in Uddevalla, Sweden, production was then moved to Renault Sport in Dieppe, France for the Phase II in 2003. The concept of the Clio V6 was very reminiscent of the 1980s Renault 5 Turbo, except the Clio housed a 60° 3.0 V6 with a 227bhp that produced a 0-60 in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 146mph. Although road tests were not overly impressed with the performance the handling and driving experience of the rear engined rear wheel drive car were sublime mixed with the glorious sound of the V6 sat just behind the driver.
In really excellent all-round condition this example was registered 27th December 2002, with a full service history it has covered 72,000 miles. It comes with a good history file of maintenance papers, and was fitted with a Janspeed sports exhaust system in 2015. The car is supplied with all the factory hand and service books and an MoT until March 2020.
Only 1,513 of the Phase I cars were built, a rare and interesting modern classic!
