This immaculate and professionally constructed replica was built over a 2 year period with parts supplied by Southern GT. IVA tested and road registered as a new Southern GT in 2012 with the registration number K 40 SGT.

The amazing specification includes a Ford 302 cui (5 litre) ‘Mexican’ block dated 1970 with 8 stack fuel injection and a Life Racing ECU. The engine was built by Knight Racing with upgrades by Taylor Automotive and has been dyno’d to over 400bhp, it is attached to a Quaiffe ZFQ 5 speed gearbox (right hand change), and the car has AP racing brakes with BRM knock on wheels / Avon tyres.

The fully rose jointed suspension was recently professionally set up for fast road use and the car has a full roll cage, it is also fitted with an immobiliser, central locking, air conditioning and a heater.

The full specification is included with the extensive history file that comes with the car, it contains many invoices for the parts used and details the work. Having covered just 1,000 miles since completion it is also supplied with UK registration documents and an MoT until Feb. 2021.

Not all GT40 replicas are created equally, this is an outstanding example both mechanically and cosmetically. Build to a high standard it is a faithful and accurate recreation that has allowed for modern traffic and track day usage.
