This fine matching number Speed Twin fitted with the MKII type of sprung hub was comprehensively restored in 2006 but has only travelled a few miles since the work was completed. Having been dry stored the bike has recently been re commissioned for road use. In all round excellent condition ; the bike runs very well and is easy to start, the clutch mechanism is very light to the touch, the engine runs well and the gearbox is smooth, the engine will need continued running in. Cosmetically the bike remains very nice, the wheel rims still look new and the finish of the paint is very good although it has had a chance to mellow, there is no corrosion on the bike anywhere.
The is not much history with the bike other than an old MoT from 2012 when the mileage was showing 10,787, it currently shows some 10,818, we gather the bike has covered less than 50 miles since the restoration. It is supplied with a buff logbook dated back to 1963 and retains its original registration number UFC 987.
