Registered 17th Feb.1967 records show that this Velo Thruxton has a Venom frame dated to 1960 and an engine and gearbox dated to 1967. A buff logbook from 1972 that is with the bike shows its current numbers so it is possible the frame was replaced before then. It was purchased from The Dene Motor Company of Wallsend, North Tyneside in 1975 by a previous owner until he passed away in 2013 after which the bike was restored and kept in a private collection without being used. Showing only 1 mile it still remains in ‘restored’ condition and will require running in.
It has recently been returned to road use with a full check over, service and new battery fitted. Supplied with an old UK V5 the current V5C and a letter from Velocette Motorcycles and a workshop manual.
