  • DESCRIPTION

Factory records show this fully matching number series C Rapide was dispatched from the works 14th March 1952 and registered in Dudley, nr. Birmingham England on the 18th April ’52 as MFD 541, this original number the bike still retains. The current V5C logbook shows it to be just two owners from new, the previous owner acquired it in 1986 keeping it some 28 years. It was restored comprehensively over a four year period in the late 1980’s and has only covered aprox. 6,000 miles since. The bike had been stored for the last 8 years without use but was returned to the road last year but was not used much, it has recently received a  full service and check over by Vincent specialists Conway Motors and is in very fine running order.

It remains in very good general condition, the paint is still good on all of the bike with the exception of one small mark on the right hand side of the fuel tank. The only deviation from the original specification is the fitment of stainless mudguards, as the original Touring ones have been replaced. This is still a very fine unmolested example, the UFM / RFM numbers are easy to read as is the engine and case numbers, the bike is supplied with a copy of the factory records and  the current Uk logbook. A fine and useable Rapide.
