This left hand drive Jaguar XJ12 Series 3 Vanden Plas was supplied new by Jaguar dealers Cooke Motors Ltd, Calgary Canada to Mr Joseph Sikorski.
One of just 613 examples produced it was imported to the UK and registered here in 1998.
It was delivered to HR Owen who converted it for use on the UK roads and serviced the car a year later. Part of this work included changing the speedo to Mph calibration. Documents show the original mileage of 43,406 combined with the more current 9,058 reflect a correct and genuine mileage of just 52,464. Sold by a Mr Trevor Sikorski in 2005 to London resident the car has seen little use since.
Finished in Tungsten Grey with Saville Grey leather interior the car remains in truly fabulous condition, it recently had a major overhaul of the brake system including new front and rear discs and pads, a major service with all oils, filters, plugs and replacement HT leads, coils and distributor cap, fuel pump and front suspension top mounts as well as a new battery. Both the sunroof and the air conditioning system are also in working order.
It is supplied with large history file with loads of bills for service an maintenance work both in Canada and the UK and also has all the factory handbooks and service book.
Jaguar set a new standard for luxury motoring with the Series 3 XJ the fuel injected 5.3 litre V12 engine was both super smooth and powerful the VDP version stylish and very comfortable, these cars were viewed above Rolls Royce and Bentley in many countries around the World. This example is a very fine unmolested example, that drives beautifully.
