This exacting Tiger 100R replica was built by Triumph restoration specialists Ace Classics / Jim Hiddleston in 2012 at the bequest of the Goodwood organisation to run at the Revival Festival in 2013. A faithful recreation of the 500cc race bike that brought the famous victory at the Daytona International Speedway in 1966 for Buddy Elmore.

Since it’s Goodwood debut the bike has had further engine tuning work by the ‘Godfather’ of all specials Dave Degens / Dresda Autos and has continued to be raced in various historic events. The tuned engine has BSA Spitfire cams, and a special cylinder head with shallower valve angles, bigger inlet ports, polished crank and rods and cast pistons. It also features a close ratio 4 speed gearbox, is now fitted with a belt primary drive and has a 4 leading shoe Fontana front brake.

Remaining in first class condition the bike has recently been fitted with a kick starter for connivence and is in great running condition, it is eligible for a whole host of historic racing and events including a potential future Goodwood outing and could be converted for road use.
