This fully matching number series C Rapide resided in the north of England for many years, although its KO registration suggests that it was delivered new in Kent. A buff logbook from 1964 shows it belonging to Sheffield residents until 1983 when it sold to a Mr J Mathews of Derby. While in his care the maintenance of the bike is well documented as during this time bike appears to have been comprehensively restored, we gather Mr Mathews was a former Rolls Royce engineer. Having tested the bike we can confirm that the engine is in absolutely superb running order with plenty of power, no smoke and a glorious sound. This is a very presentable example, the cosmetic condition is excellent. It is supplied with a good history file of receipts and invoices for parts and maintenance, together with old log books and the current UK V5C. SOLD.
