Built between 1973 and 1976 the R90 S was the flagship model of BMW’s motorcycle division, the new sports look, improved performance and custom paint schemes were an attempt to cast off the dull image the bikes had during the 1970’s, it worked as some 17,500 were built during this time, quite a large production number for this era. This example finished in the famous colour’s of Daytona orange and silver was delivered new to Tehran it’s frame number show’s the date of manufacture as March 1975, it must have been quite a sight on the streets of pre revolutionary Iran in the 1970’s. Having been imported to Rome in the 1990’s it’s old Italian paperwork shows that the bike ended up in the Town of Treviso in northern Italy until recently coming to the UK. In generally good order and excellent mechanical condition the bike is showing 52,584 Km (32,674 miles), it is supplied with Uk registration documents and an MoT until Oct. 2016.
