  • DESCRIPTION

Supplied by Brough dealer Layton Garages, New Road Oxford this SS80 was first registered 30th July 1936 to a Mr C R Spicer of Fareham, Hants. We are not sure how long he owned the bike but a RF 60 buff logbook from 1954 shows it being in Romford, London and changing hands a further four times until it was owned by Brough Club member Rob Hemmings in 1974.

We understand that it was at this time the bike was restored and the original 998cc Matchless side value engine replaced by the current 1,323 cc JAP side value that it retains today. A rare Bentley & Draper sprung frame example it retains its original Castle forks and fuel tank that has recently been repaired, re-lined and re-chromed.

Having had a recent service the bike is in good running order and remains in fine overall condition. It is supplied with a small history file, a copy of the works record and the current UK V5C logbook with its original registration number.
