The BSA Hornet was a stripped down purpose built off road and desert racer mainly built for the American market as demand for such bikes had grown during the 1960’s. Supplied without head or taillights, ‘straight through’ exhaust pipes the A65 engine was upgraded with high compression pistons, a performance cam and twin carbs, it was in direct competition to Triumphs TRC Trophy and T120 TT Bonneville.
This matching number example has recently had a comprehensive restoration by a BSA specialist and has only covered a few miles since. In absolutely fantastic condition it is not current road registered but is supplied with a BSA dating certificate and details of the work completed.
A rare a magnificent ‘flat track’ style classic BSA that has plenty of punch.
