The Ducati Paul Smart 1000 LE (PS1000LE) was introduced in 2006 as a tribute to Paul Smart’s famous win at the the Imola 200 km race in 1972, this victory helped to define Ducati as a manufacturer and promote the legendary V twin engines for which they have become World famous for. The retro styling emulated the original round case 750cc GT bike that the racer was built upon and later the ‘green frame’ 750SS production bike that followed. Although not limited edition numbered like the Mike Hailwood MH900 Evoluzione that came before it the PS1000 LE was built in relatively small numbers, in fact there were only 2000 examples produced, the same as the MH900e.
This example was originally suppled by a dealer in Italy before recently coming to the UK. It is effectively brand new / showroom condition and unregistered, only showing 4 km. Supplied with all the handbooks and the EU certificate of conformity (for registration).
