Built 26th September 1961 and dispatched from the factory 13th October to Jaguar dealer PJ Evens Ltd, Birmingham this original right hand drive example was registered on the 17th Oct. to Thomas Ash & Co. Birmingham.

Originally finished in Opalescent Bronze with red trim this was the 172nd right hand drive roadster built, and one of early ‘Flat Floor’ cars produced, the last ‘Flat Floor’ car being chassis 850358 built June 1962.

Having had 4 former keepers the car was with one family for over 20 years, during that time it appears for have been very well maintained with much restoration work, it has two large history files with many invoices for work which also includes the fitting of a newly built ‘blue printed’ engine using a replacement 3.8 litre block and the original cylinder head (R1815-9) in 1985 when the car was showing 20,794 miles.

Now Showing 34,175 miles with MoTs that go back to 1983 the car is finished in Old English White with a red interior and fitted with the very rare period accessory of Restall Masterfit seats, these resemble the original 3.8 litre E type bucket seats but recline to give a bit more drives room.

This is a really beautiful and well loved early E Type, a real drivers car,  it runs and drives great. Having just had a brakes overhauled and new master cylinders fitted its sits on competition wire wheels with gas adjustable shocks all round, it also has a JDHT dating cert. and a workshop manual.
