Registered 10th Jan. 1961 this is a matching number original right hand drive MKII 3.8 litre – manual overdrive gearbox. The subject of much work over the years the car was comprehensively restored in 1990 by Autocats Ltd and repainted Carman red from its original cream colour. At that time the clock was re set, we have an old MoT from 1993 that shows 1,799 miles, the current milage stand at 20,159.
In January 2005 the car was returned to Autocats for an overhaul, the steering converted to power assisted rack and pinion and a reconditioned all syncro overdrive gearbox fitted. Other later modifications include a high torque starter, 4 pot front brake callipers, Gas adjustable sock absorbers with upgraded anti roll bars and stiffer front springs. The car also has electronic ignition and a new heater matrix, an alloy radiator and sports exhaust.
The end result to all this a very nice condition and a very fine driving MKII with some sensible upgrades making it an extremely capable car to drive on modern roads. It comes with a good history file full of bills and receipts and its original RF60 buff logbook and registration number.
