Registered 24th Dec.1991 this R129 series 500SL was supplied new by Woking Motors and has had 8 former keepers. It has covered 108,300 miles with a full service history and fully stamped service book, there are a couple of milage breaks in history when the car was laid up but these are recorded in both the service and MoT documents. In addition there are various service invoices with the last service being performed in March 2023 at 107,739 miles.
Finished in the relatively rare colour of two tone blue with a grey leather interior the car is supplied with a factory hard top and hard top stand, the blue soft top still being in good order.
This is a well presented example, the body work remains in very good order with the interior remaining in also good condition. Mechanically the car runs and drives great and has a current MoT.
Taking over from the R107 series SL in 1989 was a tall order but the R129 stayed in production until 2002 and proved to be as robust and reliable as its predecessor. Now considered a worthy classic their popularity is growing especially the 5.0L V8 and 6.0L V12 variants, good clean examples such as this continue to rise in value.
This is a nice example with a great service history that has been well looked after, also supplied with the wallet and factory handbooks and two sets of keys.
